Description

Romy Schneider is photographed at a private party in October 1962. The actress, aged 24 – who had become famous for her role as Empress Sissi – was at a low point in her life at the time. Her love affair with Alain Delon was on the decline. But ‘The Trial’, a film adapted from the eponymous Kafka novel that she had shot a few months earlier under the direction of Orson Welles, went on to earn her a first French award, l’Etoile de Cristal, from the Académie du Cinéma.
