Ingrid Bergman was one of the greatest actresses of Hollywood’s Golden Era. Her natural, unpretentious beauty, and her immense acting talent made her one of the most celebrated figures in the history of American cinema. In 1943, Capa became Bergman’s lover while she was on tour in Europe entertaining American soldiers. In December 1945, Capa followed her to Hollywood. But the relationship ended in the summer of 1946 when Capa traveled to Turkey. Bergman is photographed here during filming of ‘Arch of Triumph’ that same year.
