Chris Steele-Perkins has produced some of the most iconic images of popular culture in the UK and abroad in the last half-century, exploring youth subcultures, poverty and community with artful sensitivity. Pictured here is the phenomenon of 3D cinema being experienced by film goers in Paris in the early ‘80s. 3D films have existed in some form since 1915, but had been largely relegated to a niche in the motion picture industry. They later experienced a worldwide resurgence in the 1980s and 1990s thanks to IMAX high-end theaters and Disney-themed venues.
