Description

London, September 1951. The British actress Audrey Hepburn, aged 22, stretches in her Mayfair apartment. A still unknown performer, she had been chosen to play Gigi, Colette’s heroine, in a play adapted for Broadway by Anita Loos. Although she intended to build a career in dance, she enjoyed such success as an actress that the doors to Hollywood opened to her. Three years later she won the Oscar for Best Actress for her role in William Wilder’s Roman Holiday.
